Where Do You Stand" | Mark 16:1-8

On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection—but Mark 16 shows us a moment that doesn’t feel like celebration at all. Three women come to the tomb expecting to care for a body, asking a practical question: “Who will roll the stone away?” Instead, they’re met with something completely unexpected—Jesus is risen. But their response isn’t immediate joy. It’s trembling, astonishment, even fear. They leave in silence, unsure of what to do with what they’ve just experienced. From that moment, a question rises—not just for them, but for us: Where do you stand? It’s the kind of question we face in real life too—at crossroads, in relationships, in decisions about our future. It’s a question that pushes past surface-level belief and asks what we’re actually going to do with what we’ve encountered. Easter isn’t just about hearing that Jesus is alive—it’s about deciding where you stand in response to that truth. Where do you stand today when faced with the reality of the resurrection?
