BAPTISM & PROFESSION OF FAITH

Next Steps

In the Sacrament of Baptism we see a visible sign of an invisible spiritual reality - God's work in saving lost souls. Whether your family chooses to baptize your baby, looking forward to the day they affirm the meaning of their baptism through a profession of faith, or you choose to dedicate your child, looking forward to the day they choose to be baptized by believer's baptism, we want to be a place that values and celebrates families committing to raising their children in the Lord and people declaring their faith in Jesus as Lord!

Infant Baptism

Infants of parents who are members of Cornerstone Church and attend the infant baptism class can be baptized. The baptism of infant's witnesses to the truth of God's gracious initiative, that God loves us even before we can respond in faith.

Children Dedication

If parents want to reserve baptism for the time of their child's personal profession of faith in Christ, then they can choose to present their children for dedication.

Profession of Faith

A Profession of Faith is a public declaration of a person's belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. For those who were baptized as infants, this is a meaningful way to confirm your baptism by personally professing your faith before your church family.

Believer’s Baptism

Baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus. It is a public declaration of your faith in Jesus. Baptism does not make you a believer; it shows that you already are one! Baptism does not 'save' you; only your faith in Christ does that.

  • “Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
