ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP + PRODUCTION

Part Time - Salary

DESCRIPTION

Cornerstone is seeking a creative and versatile individual to serve alongside the Lead Worship + Production Director. This ministry involves several areas of interest including team-building, music performance, music arrangement, administration, pastoring/shepherding, live sound production, video production, stage design, and lighting. The ideal candidate is not expected to have expertise in all of these areas, but if you are someone who has a passion for worship and production ministries in general - and has specific knowledge or abilities in some of these areas, we want to hear from you!

QUALIFICATIONS

■ A devoted follower of Christ


■ A desire to serve in a ministry setting, having humility and a heart for the Church


■ Excellent organizational and multitasking skills


■ Intentional learner and self-motivator when it comes to sustaining and improving systems 


■ Great team player with a high degree of professionalism


■ An ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to the flow of ministry

OPTIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

■ An ability to recruit, train, and shepherd high capacity volunteers


■ Knowledge of audio/video/lighting equipment and processes


■ Strong vocal and/or instrumental ability to help lead in worship services


■ Video capture and editing experience with Adobe Premiere or Final Cut


■ Experience with live streaming


■ Abilities in graphic design and/or web development

RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate’s specific responsibilities will be determined by his or her strengths and experience, but the overall responsibilities of the Music + Production ministry includes the following:

■ Contribute to the programming and planning of worship services and other special events 


■ Cast vision and lead the production team towards excellence in all services and events 


■ Organize and arrange music setlists for all weekly services


■ Maintain an updated catalog of chord charts and backing tracks for all songs


■ Maintain an efficient schedule for all vocalists, instrumentalists, and production volunteers, keeping good communication with all


■ Oversee scheduling for all external participants in weekly worship services, such as announcement team, scripture readers, baptism participants, guest speakers, etc


■ Supervise all A/V/L production for rehearsals, weekend worship services, and special events


■ Maintain, check, repair, clean, and organize all A/V/L equipment, purchasing new equipment as ministry needs demand and budget allows


■ Oversee live stream production and recording of services


■ Produce original videos as needed for Sunday services or special events


■ Support youth and children’s ministries in worship and production needs


■ Be forward-thinking in addressing the music and production needs of the church, keeping up with trends and opportunities, and considering ways to improve or streamline current processes


■ Work with other pastoral staff to develop and enhance the creative, visual, and artistic aesthetic of the church
