HISPANIC OUTREACH COORDINATOR

To cast vision for, lead outreach to and ministry to the Hispanic-Latino people in our church and community.

The Hispanic Outreach Coordinator reports and is accountable to the senior pastor and consistory and is responsible for Hispanic community outreach programs and coordinating congregational care and developing an assimilation strategy for our Latino families. 

1. Display a Christ-like approach and lifestyle and desire to see lives and the Hispanic community changed by the gospel.
2. Appreciation and understanding of Hispanic-Latino culture.
3. Outstanding Spanish and English communication skills, both verbal and written.
4. "Bridge builder” facilitate language and cultural understanding between the Hispanic-Latino new members and Cornerstone’s culture.
5. Ability to work with and maintain positive relationships with those inside and outside the church.

1. Lead and develop a bi-lingual sermon based group and multiply bi-lingual groups.
2. Coordinate in-service translation.
3. Plan quarterly cultural events.
4. Oversee, grow, and coordinate the Hispanic ministry.
5. Work as a direct liaison with Pastor Cesar from Iglesia Emmanuel.
6. Attend weekly staff meetings.
7. Attend service planning meetings as a champion and voice for the Latino community.
8. Coordinate congregational care and incorporate Hispanic-Latino members into various church ministries: nursery, children, youth, hospitality, Sunday worship service, etc.
